A screen enclosure in South Florida is a structure, and it has to be engineered like one. Broward and Palm Beach both require signed and sealed engineering and a permit for a new cage — and the difference between an enclosure that survives a storm and one that ends up in the neighbor's yard is the anchoring, the beam sizing, and the installer's discipline. We build new pool cages and screened lanais, replace storm-damaged enclosures, and re-screen existing frames that are still structurally sound.

Does a new screen enclosure need a permit?
Yes — every new enclosure and structural replacement in Broward and Palm Beach requires engineered drawings and a permit. Re-screening existing panels typically does not. We handle all of it either way.
How long does a pool cage last?
A properly built aluminum enclosure runs 15–25 years structurally. Screen panels last 8–12 years in Florida sun depending on mesh quality. Coastal properties age faster — we spec accordingly.
What does a new pool enclosure cost?
Most residential pool cages land between $15k and $40k depending on size, roof style, mesh, and wind-zone engineering. Re-screens are a fraction of that. Firm number after a site measure.
