Weston Construction — general contractor, Broward & Palm Beach
Ask anything

Common questions.

What people ask most — pricing, permits, timelines, and how a Weston Construction project actually runs.

What areas do you serve?

Broward and Palm Beach counties — headquartered in Sunrise, with regular service from Hollywood and Pembroke Pines up through Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, and Jupiter. We've served the tri-county area since 2014; projects outside the two core counties are considered case-by-case.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — Weston Construction LLC is a licensed and insured Florida general contractor. License number and certificates of insurance are provided with every proposal and sent to your HOA or building department on request.

What kind of projects do you take on?

Everything the property needs from the street in — interior renovations and whole-home remodels, additions, driveways, patios and outdoor living, pool projects, screen enclosures, and landscaping. Most clients start with one project and keep the number for the next one.

How does a project start?

A phone call, then a site visit. John walks the property with you, talks through what you're trying to do, and follows up with a written scope and a real number. Estimates are free.

Who actually runs my project?

John does. Weston Construction is deliberately a smaller company — one-on-one relationships, with the owner on site working the job, not managing it from a truck window. That's been the model since 2014.

Do you handle permits and inspections?

Yes — every permit is pulled in our name, every inspection is scheduled by us, and we're on site for them. Broward and Palm Beach jurisdictions each have their own rhythms and we work them daily.

How are your projects priced?

Written scope, firm number, and changes only by written change order. Larger projects are billed by milestone so the invoice always matches what's standing on the property.

Can you work from my architect's or designer's plans?

Absolutely — we build from architect and designer drawings constantly and coordinate directly with them. If you don't have plans yet, we'll help you develop the scope and bring in design partners when the project needs them.

How long will my project take?

Depends on scope: a driveway runs about a week, a kitchen 6–10 weeks, an addition 3–5 months after permits, a whole-home renovation 4–8 months. You get a schedule with the proposal, and you'll hear from us when anything moves it.

Do you do small jobs?

We're built for renovation- and construction-scale work rather than handyman calls. If your project involves permits, trades, or structure — even a modest one — call. If it's not a fit, we'll say so and point you to someone good.

What happens during hurricane season?

Active sites get secured to a written storm plan when a watch is issued — materials strapped or moved inside, dumpsters emptied, structures braced. After the storm we're back on site as soon as access is safe, and storm repair work for existing clients jumps the queue.

What's your warranty?

Workmanship is warrantied on every project, and manufacturer warranties on materials, fixtures, and equipment pass through to you. If something we built isn't right, we come back and make it right.
